BOSTON, Mass. (WKRN) – Actor Chris Pratt made good on a bet he made with his fellow superhero, Chris Evans, by visiting children who have pediatric cancer at Christopher’s Haven in Boston Friday.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star bet “Captain America” star Evans that if the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl, Pratt would travel to Boston dressed as his character Star Lord and visit sick kids staying at the organization.
Christopher’s Haven provides housing for families who bring their child to MassGeneral Hospital for Children while they are undergoing cancer treatments.
“Made good on that #twitterbowl bet! Starlord is [p]roud to be in Boston today at #ChristophersHChristopher’s Haven with Chris Evans and some awesome families. #12thMan,” Pratt tweeted.
Had the Seattle Seahawks won the game, Evans was to visit children at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital dressed as his alter-ego, Captain America.
Their friendly rivalry played out on social media. More than $27,000 was raised for both charities after the actors tweeted out links to the organizations’ fundraising pages.
According to Evans, the pair will be heading to the Seattle Children’s Hospital soon.
