CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 34-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl sustained non-life threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Clarksville Saturday.
The accident occurred in the 700 block of Needmore Road just after 4 p.m. when Deborah Moore’s vehicle left the roadway, before hitting a ditch and going airborne.
Moore’s 2004 Mercury Mountaineer also struck two mailboxes and knocked down a tree before coming to a rest on its side.
Moore told police she swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle that was in her lane of travel.
She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 3-year-old passenger in the car, who is not the driver’s daughter, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with non-life threatening injuries for precautionary reasons.
An update on their conditions was not immediately known.
