Cold winds follow early morning wintry mix

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Light snow fell in areas in and around Nashville early Monday morning causing a few school closings and delays.

News 2 found flurries and ice accumulation in the areas of West End, Forest Hills and Ashland City.

The wintry mix has moved out of Middle Tennessee but cold winds have moved in.

The temperature won’t climb out of the mid 30s and the low Monday night will dip into the low 20s.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation had crews out monitoring road conditions to keep drivers safe.
