GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested early Sunday morning in Goodlettsville for his fourth offense of driving under the influence.
According to an affidavit, an officer saw Donnie Kestner arrive at the Summerfield Place Apartments on Moss Trail late Saturday night followed by two vehicles.
The driver of the first vehicle claimed Kestner, 44, hit their car on Interstate 65 and fled the scene.
The people in the second vehicle told officers Kestner was driving their truck that had recently been stolen.
During the investigation officers noted that Kestner smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet.
An opened and partially consumed 40 ounce bottle of beer was reportedly found in the truck Kestner was driving.
He has previous convictions for aggravated burglary and attempted criminal homicide in addition to the three DUIs.
Kestner was taken into custody and faces multiple charges including a fourth DUI offense, driving on a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident and theft.
He was booked into the Metro jail early Sunday morning and his bond was set at $44,000.
