Sonic employee arrested after robbing store where he worked

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police have arrested a man they say robbed the same Sonic that employed him.

Tevin Washington is accused of robbing the Sonic on Charlotte Pike in west Nashville with two other people.

According to the restaurant’s manager, Washington left work early the day of the robbery.

The manager suspected he was involved when he bragged about buying a gun and having extra cash the next day.

Washington is also accused of pointing a gun at two people down the street and robbing them right after he stole the money from the restaurant.

He was arrested after the victims he robbed on the street identified him in a photo lineup.

Washington is facing aggravated robbery charges and is in jail. The two people he allegedly robbed the store are still on the loose.
