NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Predators’ rookie Filip Forsberg will play in the NHL’s annual All-Star game Sunday in Columbus, Ohio.
The 20-year old was added to the game by the NHL Thursday afternoon and is the only rookie playing. Forsberg was already headed for Columbus to participate in the rookie skills portion of the weekend.
Forsberg leads the Predators and all NHL rookies with 40 points this season compiling 15 goals and 25 assists. That also ranks in the top 25 in the entire NHL.
Forsberg joins teammates Shea Weber and Pekka Rinne at this years’ game and Peter Laviolette and the Predators’ coaching staff.
The NHL All-Star game is Sunday at 4 p.m.
