NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man is facing aggravated robbery charges for stealing an estimated $500,000 worth the victims thought he was going to purchase.
According to an affidavit, Elton Price lured the two victims to the Springhill Suites on Athens Way on Jan. 15.
While they were talking about the deal in one of the hotel’s rooms, two men jumped the victims from behind.
One of the men had a gun, police said.
While the victims were on the floor, police said Price took the jewelry and fled.
Price, 32, was identified by the victims through a photo lineup. He was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
He’s in the Metro jail on $80,000 bond.
Police said Price was also arrested in December with 18 other people as part of a major drug bust.
