NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The mother of three men and wife of a man accused of murdering a 22-year-old last May was arrested by Metro police Tuesday for her alleged involvement.
Verdal Miller, 41, was taken into custody after a Crime Stopper’s tip led her whereabouts at a Dickerson Pike hotel.
Metro police said Tuesday she refused to be interviewed.
Miller was booked and charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Michael Pillow.
Pillow was gunned down at the Summerwind apartment complex on May 6, 2014. He was visiting relatives when another resident called him down to the parking lot and challenged him to a fight. As he came down the stairs into the open, he was ambushed and shot multiple times.
Miller’s three sons—Demetrice, William and Eric Carter—were taken into custody last year, as was her husband, 42-year-old Eric Miller.
