NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 28-year-old man was killed Monday night south of downtown Nashville after being hit by a car.
It happened around 9 p.m. at Lafayette Street and Second Avenue South.
According to police, the man, identified as Quantez Blair, stepped out in front of a vehicle and the 31-year-old driver was unable to avoid hitting him. Blair was not in a crosswalk.
He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle.
There was no drug or alcohol involvement on the driver’s part.
