NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The best team in the NHL may have to win a few games without their All-Star goalie.
Pekka Rinne had given up just one goal before having to leave in the third period of the Predators 5-1 victory Tuesday night over the Vancouver Canucks.
Rinne collided with Canucks forward Chris Higgins after stopping a shot. That ended his night.
The Predators say that Rinne is day-to-day with a lower body injury and will have an update on his status Thursday. Rinne did skate off the ice on his own.
Carter Hutton finished the final stretch of the game without allowing a goal. Colin Wilson notched four points, 2 goals and 2 assists, leading the Predators.
The Preds take on former head coach Barry Trotz and the Capitals Friday at Bridgestone Arena.
