OAKLAND, Calif. (WKRN) – A four-year-old who fell from a 225-foot cliff met with the rescuers who saved his life.
ABC News reported Sebastian Johnson got together with the Bodega Head Firefighters in northern California.
During the meeting he told the workers, “Thank you for saving my life.”
Sebastian was severely injured on Nov. 10 while walking with his family at Bodega Head, a rocky beach area north of San Francisco.
The ground beneath him gave way causing him to fall several hundred feet. His father said the fall exceeded the height of a 20-story building.
“The incident that happened was my worst nightmare,” he told KGO-TV.
Sebastian injured his skull and broke many of the bones on his right side. Doctors at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California eventually put him in an induced coma for 10 days.
The four-year-old remains at the hospital and still has a few more weeks before he can go home. Even so, doctors say Sebastian is in good health overall.
