3 arrested for 5 home burglaries in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three people were arrested for five south Nashville home burglaries that have occurred since Jan. 8.

After receiving a citizen’s tip on Sunday, police went to a break-in on LuAnn Drive. When they arrived, authorities took the alleged getaway driver, 20-year-old Karlton Bradenm, into custody.

Officials later identified two other suspects as Zakaria Chanaoui, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile.

Police said all three admitted to breaking into the home as well as a second residence on Calumet Drive earlier that day.

Chanaoui and the teen also admitted to burglarizing a house on Calais Circle on Jan. 9 and two homes on Clearlake Drive East and Wood Bridge Drive on Jan. 8.

Chanaoui was charged with five counts of aggravated burglary and is being held on $125,000 bond.

Braden is facing two counts of aggravated burglary with a bond of $50,000.

The teen was charged in juvenile court with five counts of aggravated burglary.
