HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Sumner County Sheriff’s office told News 2 Monday that two missing girls from Hendersonville have been located alive and well in Gallatin.
The girls, Brooke Brindle, 17, and Kayla Chu, 16, were last seen at a party in Manchester for New Year’s Eve.
The Sheriff reported they were staying with a friend when they were found. They have been released to the custody of their parents.
While missing, Brindle and Chu sent text messages to their parents saying they “were sorry,” according to officials.
An Amber Alert was never issued for the girls because they left on their own accord and police did not believe they were in danger.
