We’ll be bringing in the new year on a chilly note!

We get the fringe of an arctic air mass, but cold enough!

You can see how cold the air mass is that was entering the northern U.S.

Lucky for us, we will only be on the fringe of that cold air. Temperatures will begin to fall on Tuesday which is the day of the Music City Bowl.

The wind will be blowing 10-15 mph during the game, so the wind chill will be in the 30s, with the actual temperature falling into the 30s during the 2nd half when the sun goes down.

On New Year’s Eve day, highs will only be in the upper 30s, but it should be dry. But temperatures during the “Note Drop” an d fireworks in downtown Nashville will be in the 20s!
