Predators soar past Flyers, Laviolette defeats former team

Predators win over Philadelphia Flyers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Nashville Predators scored three power-play goals to defeat the visiting the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 Saturday night.

The game also marked the first time Nashville head coach Peter Laviolette faced the Flyers since he was let go as Philidelphia’s head coach.

Nashville’s power-play has struggled throughout the season but the goals. Filip Forsberg, Mike Fisher and Colin Wilson quickly erased memories of the issue.

Wilson’s empty-net goal sealed the 4-1 victory. Wilson has scored four goals in the last three games.

Forsberg’s performance brings his season total to 33rd points which is just four points away from tying the Predators all-time record for rookie points in one season.

With Saturday’s win, the Predators improve to 11-0-0 following a previous loss.

The Predators return to action Monday on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks.
