NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Tennessee head coach Butch Jones strikes again on the recruiting trail signing running back Alvin Kamara from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Kamara redshirted his freshman year at Alabama before transferring to the same school that produced former Tennessee star Cordarrelle Patterson.
Kamara rushed for 1,211 yards and 18 touchdowns last season and is rated as a four and five-star prospect.
Tennessee running back coach Robert Gillespie says the 5-foot-11, 200 pounder has an “explosive element to his game” that will allow him to play immediately and help the Vols offense.
Tennessee landed Kamara just days after the school revealed freshman running back Derrell Scott is transferring.
