Man found murdered outside vacant home in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 38-year-old man was found murdered Wednesday morning on Flicker Drive in the Whites Creek area of Nashville.

Metro police reported a resident discovered Dana Mayo in the front seat of his Mercury marquis just after 8:30 a.m.

Mayo had been shot multiple times.

His car had been parked in the driveway of the vacant home since Monday night, and nearby citizens reported hearing possible gunshots the same night.

Mayo’s mother reported him as missing Tuesday afternoon when he left their Carroll Street home at 4 p.m. Monday and never returned.
