A Portland police officer fired at a man who was driving erratically Thursday.
It happened on Victor Reiter Parkway and Highway 109. Authorities told News 2 the suspect was driving dangerously and may have driven someone off the road.
When a police officer tried to stop him, the driver reportedly kept going and swerved at the officer twice.
That’s when the officer fired his gun three times at the suspect’s vehicle.
Two rounds hit the hood and one round struck the windshield. No one was injured.
The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, stopped and police arrested him. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
The officer that fired the shots is a 20-year veteran of the police force.
