NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was able to scare off her attacker once she recognized him as the man who had recently repaired her car.
Police reported Samuel Adcock, 32, attempted to disguise his appearance when he knocked on the victim’s door and forced his way inside.
Adcock allegedly grabbed the woman from behind and demanded to know where she kept her money.
Once the man spoke, the victim reportedly recognized her attacker as a mechanic who had once worked on her and her boyfriend’s cars.
While Adcock allegedly attempted to tie her up, the woman screamed at him using his name, which caused him to flee the scene.
The victim was able to later identify Adcock from a photo lineup as the man who entered her home and attempted to rob her.
Adcock was booked in the Metro jail Thursday on a charge of aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $50,000.
