KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Knoxville Police Department says there was a large party Saturday night at the South Knoxville apartment complex where two women allege they were raped or sexually assaulted by two University of Tennessee football players.

According to a preliminary police report, one of the two 19-year-old victims said she was forcibly raped by Vols football players A.J. Johnson and Michael Williams at The Woodlands Apartment Complex in the early morning hours of November 16.

The other victim said she was sexually assaulted by Williams but refused to press charges.

Police say they are still interviewing people about the incident and while they have no timeframe on when they will turn over information to the district attorney’s office, they are in constant communication.

No charges have been filed against either Johnson or Williams. Both have been suspended from the football team during the investigation.
