Nashville Predators beat Dallas Stars 3-2

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Predators got a huge boost on the homestretch of their six game road trip with a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars Thursday night.

Both Craig Smith and Phillip Forsberg scored their fifth goals of the season as the Preds jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period.

The Stars battled back to even the game in the third period but Matt Cullen somehow found the back of a very crowded net to give the Preds a 3-2 lead in the closing minutes.

Pekka Rinne made one final save as time expired to hold the lead and give the Preds win No. 8 this season.

The Preds finish their road trip Saturday in St. Louis against the Blues.
