Nick Caloway is thrilled to be working in Music City. Nick moved to Nashville from his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. He worked for more than eight years at KTBS, the ABC affiliate in Shreveport, where he learned just about every facet of the news business.
While a working as a Video Journalist in Shreveport, Nick covered everything from tornadoes in East Texas to wildfires in rural Louisiana. He was embedded with an urban search and rescue task force that was deployed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in the days after the tornadoes that devastated the city in 2011.
Nick also followed an emergency preparedness team to South Louisiana after the Morganza Spillway was opened during the Mississippi River flood of 2011.
Whether it’s covering city hall or chasing storms, Nick loves telling people’s stories. He believes everyone has a story; sometimes you just have to ask.
In his time off, Nick enjoys exploring all that Music City has to offer. You can usually find him jogging through Music Row, delving into the menu at a local barbeque restaurant, losing at golf, or cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, or his new favorite team, the Nashville Predators.
