Nadia Ramdass is thrilled to be part of the Nashville’s News 2 team. Nadia is an award-winning journalist whose investigative stories and exclusive interviews have earned her the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award and Gracie Award.
Her work also received recognition with multiple wins from both the Florida Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.
Nadia comes to us from Charm City where she served as a freelance reporter for WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland.
She also worked in the Sunshine State as a general assignment reporter for Southwest Florida’s news leader, WINK-TV.
While reporting in Fort Myers, she uncovered the first known case of counterfeit South African Colgate toothpaste sold in Florida. Her investigation expanded to find unauthorized or “gray-market” Colgate toothpaste, not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, sold in local stores.
Nadia obtained distinction as the only reporter to bust a number of stores not honoring Florida’s Hurricane Preparedness and Back to School Sales Tax Holidays.
Following WINK-TV, she worked as a freelance reporter in Tampa, FL with WFTS-TV.
In addition to TV, Nadia worked in news radio as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WFSX 92.5 FOX News in Fort Myers and for WRTI 90.1 FM, a National Public Radio Affiliate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in New York City, Nadia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcasting Telecommunications and Mass Media and a Master’s of Journalism Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also played for the Women’s Varsity Tennis Team on an athletic scholarship (Go Owls!).
