Jerry Barlar has been at News 2 since 1989.
In his time here he has covered a variety of stories. He won an Emmy for his coverage on a bank robbery where a police officer was shot and his K-9 partner killed. He also got footage of a tornado that came through Ashland City in Cheatham County.
Just recently won 2 AP and Edward R. Murrow awards and is nominated for an Emmy for live coverage of the rescue of an infant during a flood in Madison in 2013.

Jerry spends most of his time with his family when he is not at work. He is married with two wonderful kids.
When he is not with his family, you can find him on the water or in the woods looking for food.
