Audra Martin joined the WKRN sports team as a reporter and anchor in August of 2013.
Audra grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois but earned her degree in broadcasting from the University of Central Florida. After graduation, she took a job in the front office of the Atlanta Braves before returning to broadcasting as a rinkside reporter for the Atlanta Thrashers.
After learning the team was moving to Winnipeg, Audra decided to continue pursuing a career in sports broadcasting and accepted a job at WAAY in Huntsville, Alabama. There, she covered everything from SEC football, to minor league hockey and of course, high school football.
In her spare time, Audra enjoys anything to do with sports and music. She grew up playing fast pitch softball and has three pins in her shoulder to show for it. She also played volleyball and was a competitive cheerleader. While in Atlanta, Audra was quarterback for a coed football team for two seasons. She has played the violin since she was three and has been singing since she was 12.
In a nutshell, if you ever want to talk hockey while throwing around a football and singing show tunes, Audra’s your girl.
