2 Fort Campbell soldiers arrested for downtown disturbance

Two Fort Campbell soldiers were arrested Friday morning after allegedly causing a disturbance at a downtown bar then returning to the establishment with a gun.

Police reported Andrew Comeau, 22, and Joseph Boyd, 25, got into an altercation at a bar near 4th Avenue and Commerce Street around 2:30 a.m.

They left the bar but later came back, while Comeau was armed with a pistol.

Police were alerted to the duo fighting in the street and attempted to stop Comeau but he ran and hid in the courtyard area in front of the AT&T building on 4th Avenue.

Boyd surrendered to police while other officers apprehended Comeau.

Boyd was booked into the Metro jail on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct with a bond of $2,000.

Comeau was booked into the Metro jail on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, evading arrest and possession of a firearm while intoxicated with a bond of $5,000.
