Metro police arrested three people and seized three pounds of cocaine worth more than $60,000 in a drug bust.
The arrests happened Thursday at a south Nashville restaurant.
Police said 28-year-old Shirvonnta Bryant, a convicted felon, went to the restaurant with the intent to sell one kilogram of cocaine to undercover detectives.
When authorities saw the drugs, they took Bryant into custody. The two people that were with him, 23-year-old Deantaun McDuffie and 22-year-old Amber Ash, were also arrested.
Upon searching the suspects’ vehicle, officials discovered an additional nine ounces of cocaine in a separate bag.
Bryant, McDuffie and Ash have been charged with engaging in a cocaine conspiracy and possession of cocaine for resale. Their bonds are set at $200,000 each.
Bryant received an eight-year sentence in 2008 for a prior felony cocaine conviction, and McDuffie also had an eight-year sentence in 2009 for a second degree murder conviction.
