A man was arrested Thursday for leaving a bottle believed to be a Molotov cocktail with a written threat outside a Nashville business.
According to police, Robert Koselka, 57, left the bottle on a loading dock along with a cardboard box that said the business would burn on Oct. 31.
Employees of Consolidated Electrical Distributors, located at 330 19th Ave. North, called 911 after discovering the bottle.
According to an affidavit, while police were on the scene, Koselka returned and admitted he’d left the device.
The quart-sized bottle had a cloth wick and wire stuffed into the mouth.
The bottle was lacking a flammable liquid inside it, though police reported Koselka did try to ignite the wick.
Koselka was booked into the Metro jail on charges of manufacturing a hoax weapon and trespassing. His bond was set at $5,000.
