A New Jersey teacher who snapped a dramatic picture of a great white shark earlier this summer said the photograph was just a matter of luck.
Amanda Brewer told ABC News she spent her summer interning at an animal conservation group on South Africa, where the photograph was taken.
Brewer said she set her camera to take several rapid photos, one of which was the great white shark lunging towards fish tied to a rope.
“The shark came up out of the water and I got the shot,” Brewer told ABC News.
Since being posted her on Facebook page, it has received 78,000 likes and more than 350,000 likes on her Instagram account.
Brewer said she has since hung a copy of the photo in her classroom.
