Two men were arrested in Nashville Tuesday after an undercover police detective answered a prostitution ad on Backpage.com.
According to an affidavit, the detective responded to an ad on the site and corresponded with Tristian Halley, 25.
Halley and the detective reportedly agreed upon a time and place to meet and that sex would take place for the price of $150.
Metro police said Halley was intercepted by police as he was knocking on the door to the room that the detective told him to meet him.
Halley was arrested and later admitted that he has the HIV virus, an affidavit stated.
The man who drove Halley to the meeting, Corey Kennedy, 26, was arrested for promotion of prostitution when he allegedly admitted to detectives that he placed the ad on Backpage.com for Halley and drives him to his appointments.
The men had $730 on them at the time of their arrests.
Halley faces prostitution charges and Kennedy faces promotion of prostitution charges.
Both were booked into the Metro jail on $25,000 bond each.
