The Tennessee Volunteers are back at Neyland Stadium for the first time in three weeks as they look to avoid a three game losing streak Saturday.
Their last two defeats were at the hands of top 25 ranked teams in Oklahoma and Georgia.
They say there are no moral victories, but coaches and players have said they’ve learned a lot about themselves through two straight losses, particularly the fact that they never have given up.
“I think the thing we can build on from Norman to what took place in Georgia and moving forward is the fact that there is some consistency with the mindset of the players not getting rattled. On the road in two environments, in which it was, it’s loud and it will be that way the rest of the way out,” said offensive line coach Dan Mahoney.
“We don’t give up. We showed that in the Oklahoma game and we turned right around and showed it again. Unfortunately, we were on the losing side of things but we never gave up and that’s huge for a lot of these guys’ confidence,” explained quarterback Justin Worley.
