A man was arrested Wednesday for aggravated assault after he allegedly threw bricks through windows and doors at a healthcare facility in downtown Nashville.
Police reported Marquise Allen, 27, walked into Centerstone Ella Hayes Center Reconnect, a peer support center on 6th Avenue North, and reported the medication they’d previously given him was not working.
According to an affidavit, Allen had been seen by the facility on Sept. 25.
Allen reportedly became angry when the nurse refused to give him new medication and turned violent toward the staff and building.
After the nurse refused, Allen allegedly threw several bricks through the windows and doors before coming back inside to throw one at the clerk behind the counter.
No one was injured in the attack.
Centerstone is a non-profit organization that provides counseling and helps with substance abuse to more than 75,000 children, teens, adults, seniors and their families.
Allen was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism and booked into the Metro jail on $50,000 bond.
