A 15 pound bundle of marijuana wrapped with peanut butter, Vaseline and plastic was seized on Interstate 40 Tuesday.
An officer stopped a van near Bellevue after it was following too closely and making improper lane changes.
The passenger, 34-year-old Ivan Squire of Virginia, allegedly admitted to travelling from Virginia to Texas to purchase the marijuana for $8,250.
Squire, who was returning to Virginia when he was stopped, planned to turn a profit and double his investment.
His girlfriend, who was driving the minivan at the time, was not charged. Squire reportedly took full responsibility for the weed.
He was charged with possessing marijuana for resale and booked on $76,000 bond.
