An 86-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Bell Road and Old Hickory Boulevard around 4:20 p.m.
Police said Louise Ellis’ 91-year-old husband crashed their 2007 Buick Lacross into the rear of a 2006 Honda CRV, as the driver was stopped waiting to turn onto Old Hickory Boulevard.
Ellis was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in where she died Wednesday.
Ellis’ husband, Enoch, received non-life threatening injuries, as did the driver of the Honda, whose two grandchildren were with her at the time.
