An 18-year-old was arrested for vehicular homicide Saturday after he crashed into an oncoming motorcycle in Clarksville.
The crash happened at 11:30 p.m. in the intersection of Madison Street and Memorial Drive.
Police said Jonathon Olson, of Dover, Tennessee, made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, resulting in a crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was killed. The passenger was seriously injured and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical center for treatment.
The victims’ names were not released.
Olson reportedly admitted to drinking one beer and smoking marijuana prior to the crash.
A sandwich bag containing marijuana residue was found inside his car, police said.
Olson was charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, simple drug possession, reckless endangerment and several other traffic violations.
He was booked into the Montgomery County jail with a bond of $1,065,000.
