Antioch murder suspect Javon Spivey was arrested Friday in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Spivey, 24, was wanted following a deadly home invasion on Ascot Drive in the Priest Lake community on the morning of August 30.
Police said Charles Peterson and his 70-year-old mother Ann were watching TV in their own rooms when the power went out. Charles, 48, was shot and killed when he went into the garage to check the circuit breaker box.
Ann was later shot when she went to check on her son. She managed to escape and run to nearby home.
Spivey faces charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.
He is also wanted for aggravated robbery and especially aggravated kidnapping in a separate crime that occurred at a Murfreesboro Pike Mapco.
Spivey was added to the state’s Top 10 “Most Wanted” list earlier this week.
Police have not yet identified a second intruder who also broke into the Anderson’s home with Spivey.
