Three people and three horses were injured after a truck towing a horse trailer collided with an SUV in Wilson County Monday evening.

The crash happened on Mt. Juliet Road just after 6 p.m. when the Tennessee Highway Patrol says the driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Frank Mach, turned left in front of the truck.

The truck, driven by 47-year-old Ralph Glynn, hit the passenger’s side of the SUV, knocking it back around 85 feet.

The truck and trailer, which was hauling three horses, then continued off the side of the road, hitting a large stone wall.

Glynn and his passenger, 45-year-old Sharon Glynn, were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Mach was transported to Summit Medical Center. He was also cited with failure to exercise due care.

None of their conditions were immediately known.

The horses also sustained minor injuries but are expected to be okay.
