The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a mother and daughter in Lewis County for reportedly filing a false report of rape.
Regina Hobbs, 40, and her 20-year-old daughter, Kylie Barber, were taken into custody Friday.
The TBI started investigating the pair after a domestic dispute in their Hohenwald home on Thomas Avenue on June 14.
Hobbs’ husband called 911, stating that his wife pointed a gun at him.
When officers arrived to the scene, Hobbs said her husband, who is a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, raped and assaulted her.
After Barber said she witnessed the attack, police arrested Hobbs’ husband.
Officials later determined that the accusations were false.
Hobbs has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of false report.
Her daughter faces one count of false report.
Both were booked into the Lewis County Jail. Hobbs bond was set at $5,000 and Barber’s was $2,500.
