A Murfreesboro man was arrested for driving under the influence with a two-year-old in the car.
Rattany Phommalath, 35, was stopped on Butler Drive around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.
As police asked the man to step outside of his vehicle, officials noticed he had slurred speech and administered a field sobriety test, which he failed.
During the stop, police realized a two-year-old was sitting in the back seat, and in the wrong type of car seat.
Phommalath was arrested for DUI and reckless endangerment.
The child was turned over to his mother.
The arrest report stated the arrest was Phommalath’s third DUI.
