Robbery suspects tie up guest, security guard at south Nashville hotel (Image 1)

Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at a hotel in south Nashville early Tuesday morning.

Two two masked men walked into the La Quinta Inn on Sidco Drive around 2:15 a.m. and held an employee at gunpoint while demanding she open the safe.

The suspects were inside the office and lobby area for 45 minutes.

At one point, a guest walked into the lobby so the suspects tied the guest to a chair.

Later, a security guard walked through the area and the suspects tied his hands, put a bag over his head and forced him to lie face down on the ground.

When the suspects couldn’t gain access to the safe they decided to load it into the security guard’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The men also took cash, cell phones and other items from the victims.

Both suspects were black men wearing black masks.

The gunman is approximately 5 feet 6 inches with a thin build. He was wearing black athletic shorts, a black jacket and gray socks with black and white Nike hi-tops.

The second suspect is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build. He has shoulder-length dreadlocks and an oval tattoo on his upper right forearm. He wore black shorts, a black jacket with an orange and red T-shirt and Nike lo-top sneakers.

The victim’s stolen truck that was used as the getaway vehicle was later recovered on Independence Court in Goodlettsville.
