A Clarksville man was arrested Friday after police say he flipped a baby carrier on the road while a baby was still inside.

The Leaf Chronicle reports the incident happened around 8:15 in the 500 block of Kraft Street.

Officers reportedly spoke to 49-year-old Lenzy Jackson who said he had been arguing with girlfriend, but no assault occurred.

The girlfriend, however, told police that Jackson pushed her, punched her in the face, and turned over his child’s baby carrier into the roadway while the child was still inside.

Police said the baby had a large amount of swelling on his forehead and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The girlfriend reportedly had visible signs of injury as well.

Jackson was charged with reckless endangerment and domestic assault.

He was booked into the Montgomery County jail on $10,000 bond.
