A busy intersection in Clarksville was closed for several hours Tuesday following a chemical spill.

Police said a five gallon bucket of hydraulic fluid spilled at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Dunbar Cave Road.

The road was shut down while HAZMAT crews cleaned up the mess.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the bucket was in the roadway and spilt after it was run over.

Traffic was at a standstill for a time. The road reopened around 12:30 p.m.
