Ravenwood High School’s star receiver Van Jefferson is headed to Georgia next season.
Jefferson was scheduled to make his choice before the season, but did not make his commitment until Monday afternoon in Brentwood.
He picked the Bulldogs over Tennessee and Ohio State.
The 6-2, 172 pound Jefferson caught 87 passes for 1,251 yards and 14 TD’s last season at Ravenwood.
With a 4.56 40-yard dash to his credit Jefferson is ranked among the top 25 wide receivers in the country by 247Sports, ESPN.com and Rivals.
Jefferson also should be well coached, his father is Titans wide receiver coach Shawn Jefferson who had a long career as a player in the NFL.
