Animal control officers rescued 26 dogs and 38 cats from a hoarding situation in Clarksville Friday afternoon.
According to Clarksville Now, the pet’s owner has agreed to surrender 10 of the hairless sphinx cats and 10 Chinese crested dogs.
“She had way too many, but they were not in bad shape,” Animal control director Tim Clifton said. “The animals were not emaciated and did not appear to be abused.”
Many other animals, including 11 English toy spaniels remain in the owner’s care until Monday when animal control officials speak to the woman again.
The 20 animals in the care of the Montgomery County Animal Control have already been adopted.
