Four Kentucky firefighters were injured while assisting in an ice bucket challenge on Thursday.

It happened at Campbellsville University just before Noon, WHAS-TV reported.

According to the television station, the firefighters were injured after their fire truck’s ladder came close to a power line.

Two of the four firemen, Tony Grider and Simon Quinn, were airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital and are receiving treatment in the burn unit.

Grider was last listed in critical condition.

Two other firemen, Steve Marrs and Alex Johnson, were both transported to Taylor Regional Hospital.

At the time of the accident the marching band was being sprayed with water as part of an ice bucket challenge.

The university has since released a statement which reads in part, “Campbellsville University is asking for prayers for two Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Department firefighters who have been seriously injured on the campus of Campbellsville University.”

A prayer vigil was held on campus at 7 p.m.
