8 SEC teams ranked in first AP Top 25 Poll

Defending national champion Florida State is the number one team in the Associated Press’s first Top 25 poll of the college football season.

The Seminoles return Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston and picked up 57 of 60 first place votes. Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma each picked up one.

It’s another banner start to the season for the Southeastern Conference with 8 teams ranked in the Top 25 and Florida, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt all getting votes.

Alabama, Auburn and South Carolina are all ranked in the top 10.
