The first game of the Little League World Series did not treat the kids from South Nashville very well.

Playing Pennsylvania, who scored three runs in the first inning, South Nashville was never able to get anything going, managing just two hits all game.

Mo’Ne Davis, the girl pitching superstar, pitched a complete game shutout, striking out eight batters and sending South Nashville straight to the loser’s bracket.

Now they are one loss from going home. The team will play the loser of Rhode Island and Texas on Saturday.
