Tennessee Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy will likely need surgery to repair the shoulder he injured in Saturday’s preseason win over Green Bay.
McCarthy had to be helped off the field during the third quarter after landing on his shoulder while attempting to make a tackle.
Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said initial tests indicate that surgery is likely but that McCarthy will get a second opinion to confirm.
McCarthy is no stranger to injuries. The former defensive captain missed all but seven games in 2012 with a high ankle sprain.
