A pedestrian was struck by a car just after Midnight early Sunday morning and the driver is accused of being drunk.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard in Goodlettsville.

According to authorities, 51-year-old Kenneth Will was speeding and weaving through traffic when he hit a man in the middle lane who was trying to retrieve a tire.

Witnesses told police the victim went airborne due to the speed of the car.

When police got the scene, Will reportedly smelled like alcohol and was unsteady on his feet.

His 12-year-old son was inside the car.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Neither his condition nor his identity have been released.

Will faces charges of child endangerment and vehicular assault. He’s being held in the Metro jail on $32,000 bond.
