After leading early in their regional final against Virginia, the boys from south Nashville found themselves trailing in the fifth inning of a win or go home game for a trip to the Little League World Series.

But with the bases loaded and two outs, Barrett Smith beat out a grounder to first to tie the game and keep their hopes alive.

Two batters later Sam Slaughter provided the come from behind knockout punch with a Grand Slam to put South Nashville in front by five runs.

South Nashville held on to win 9-4 making a return trip to the Little League World Series.
